Over the past 18 months, our community has flourished, reaching over 3,800 members. We've celebrated together at our events including parties, supper clubs, exhibitions, building a strong sense of community, and have embarked on educational journeys, exploring the rich diversity of Africa's cultures through our content; newsletters, guides and campaigns.
While we celebrate our successes, we also recognise areas for improvement and are excited to announce major updates to our core offerings: Events, Experiences, and Membership.

Starting from Q2 2024, we'll now host one major event per quarter, coinciding with key dates, celebrations and holidays such as Independence Days and Christmas etc.
These bigger, more impactful events will be exclusively produced by Marmalade and our potential brand sponsors, tailored for our premium and founding members only.
To maintain connectivity among our members, we plan to test the concept of meet-ups for Marmalade members at events organised by others. This strategy emphasises our role as 'curators' and 'connectors' in the Afrocentric cultural landscape, by leveraging existing events and promoting collaboration.
<aside> 🗓️ How will it work? We select at least one event from our What’s On monthly newsletter that aligns with our members’ interests i.e. music, food, fashion, art etc. We'll create a page where you can RSVP or find more information about buying tickets (for ticketed events). Where possible, we'll negotiate an exclusive discount with the event organiser for Marmalade members. On the day of the event, we'll organise a mini members meet-and-greet before the event so we can attend as a group. Example: 30 members attending Tyla’s London concert
